Mianzhu Yaolong Chemical Co., Ltd. (Sunshine Factory, Co., Ltd.) is a new-material manufacturer integrating research, production, processing and sales. Located in Mianzhu, Sichuan, China (103.5°E, 31.5°N), its factory is at Group 5, Jizhao Village, Mianyuan Town, Mianzhu City, Sichuan Province, with more than 100 employees and a plant area of 17,000 m². Established in 2006 and with its own factory built in 2008, the company has focused on the research, development and industrialization of zirconium phosphate (ZrP) new materials and has grown into a standard-setting enterprise in China's zirconium phosphate industry.
Its core product is α-layered zirconium phosphate (Zr(HPO₄)₂·nH₂O), a white amorphous powder that is odourless, non-toxic, non-radioactive and not a hazardous chemical, with an interlayer spacing of 7.6 Å that allows intercalation modification. Particle size D50 is continuously adjustable from 400 nm to 80 μm, specific surface area 5–120 m²/g and pore volume 0.10–0.35 cm³/g; typical chemical specifications are ZrO₂ ≥ 35 wt%, P₂O₅ ≥ 45 wt%, Na⁺ ≤ 0.05 wt%, total heavy metals (Pb+Cd+Hg+Cr) ≤ 20 ppm (medical grade) and loss on ignition at 1000 °C ≤ 5 wt%. Functional modification is available on request, including organic intercalation (DMSO, TBA, CTAB), ion exchange (Na⁺, K⁺, NH₄⁺, Cu²⁺, Ag⁺) and surface coating (silane or titanate coupling agents), and the product is supplied in powder, liquid and spherical forms.
The product line covers four application areas: flame retardants / polymer additives (zirconium phosphate and nano zirconium phosphate); antibacterial additives (silver-, zinc-, copper- and lanthanum-loaded zirconium phosphate); sorbents for hemodialysis and ion exchange (sodium zirconium phosphate, zirconium pyrophosphate and hydrous zirconium oxide); and the new energy field (spherical zirconium phosphate, liquid zirconium phosphate and iron-, lithium- and yttrium-loaded zirconium phosphate). They are widely used in medicine (hemodialysis adsorption columns, contrast-agent sustained-release carriers), nuclear environmental protection (capture of radioactive Cs⁺, Sr²⁺ and UO₂²⁺), functional polymers (flame-retardant synergists for PET, PA and PBT reaching UL94 V-0 at 1–3 phr), antibacterial materials (antibacterial rate ≥ 99.9%), catalysts and catalyst carriers, ternary cathode coating for lithium batteries and high-temperature extreme-pressure greases.
The company has passed ISO9001:2015 quality management system certification and its products have completed formal REACH registration; TDS, MSDS, RoHS, REACH certificates and COA are available, and 100 g samples can be provided free of charge. The company has also filed its enterprise standard “Industrial α-Zirconium Hydrogen Phosphate” (standard No. Q/YLHG-001-2018) on the public service platform for enterprise standards.
